Because someone has to do the first real post. Might as well be me and Urza.
Name: Urza
Player: GhostUrza
Spoken Quote color: Orange is the best color
Skimming the Surface
Age: Approx 4500 years
Race: Ghost and planeswalker at this point, formerly human... 4400-ish years ago
Appearance: Urza, minus feet + scars around the eyes.
Delving Secrets
Home Plane: Dominaria
Mana Alignment: The biggest question I've never been able to figure out... Presumably WUBRG
Specialization: Science, all sorts of science, including SCIENCE as well.
Personality: Smug, arrogant, self confident, hates phyrexia, studious, hates phyrexia, patient, hates phyrexia, insensitive, and on days he can just be a regular asshole.
Backstory: There was this guy, 4500 years ago, named Urza. He got in a fight with his brother. That fight turned into a war that consumed a continent. That fight turned into a fight that consumed two planes. That fight turned into a fight that consumed several planes. That fight eventually killed him and nearly cause the multiverse to collapse.
Somewhere in there Urza became a planeswalker, I imagine near year 80 of about 4300 years of living.
After he 'died' his spark transferred to Karn. Which begs the ever so important question, why is he 'alive'.Because it was funny when I made the tumblr account all those years ago. Because when new phyrexia came about it struck Karns spark from him, reducing him from the planeswalker status. This ejected Urza from Karn and into a life form. Somehow the mending, which had happened while he was karn, removed his former dependence on his eyes... Somehow.
Either way he's 'alive' again. And by alive, I mean a ghost. Which, oddly enough, leaves him closer to an old walker than most of the other walkers around. He has no reason to succumb to most of the problems other post-mending walkers face. Aka: Hunger... Death etc.
Right now his main constraint is that he can't get toNew Phyrexia Mirrodin. (Its still mirrodin because Karn made it). Reasons for this are unknown, but it means that while he makes new death machines on worlds across the multiverse he's also looking for a portal system to plan an invasion of Mirrodin.
Sound Familiar anyone?
Also, if you want more backstory on him, he had his own block, 'Classic Magics' story is basically all because of him, and it goes up to Scars of Mirrodin with him still having a direct influence (and appearing on a card, not bad for a character whose been dead 300+ years in cannon).
