Backstory: Kyra was born blind to a healer and a hunter. Her village was small and tight-knit and relied on the animal spirits to guide them, but all was well. When she was five, her father save a wolf pup from the wild after the mother was killed. She named the wolf Marek and he stayed with her all her life. He adopted her nurturing yet fierce nature and protected her from everyone. On her plane, Every 15 year old must go through a coming of age ceremony where they find out their spirit animal so they go on a spiritual pilgrimage in the forest and after they are supposed to be trained by someone in the village who also has that spirit animal. A lot of kids who are weaker die before they meet their spirit animal because it requires fasting and they are also out in the wilderness. She watched her brothers and friends go into the forest and come out with their power animals. Bears, foxes, falcons, even a turtle. It was her turn at 15 and even though she wanted Marek to go, he could not. Her father walked her to the ceremonial spot with a pouch of water. Her days went by quietly as she strolled the forest. The nights were cold and harsh and every night her fire would go dim. She started to feel the effects from lack off food and shelter. She met her spirit animal in a hallucination like everyone else and while she was hallucinating, she heard Marek barking and someone from her village yelling for him to return. A wolf appeared to her, her spirit guide. She felt Marek’s footsteps in the dirt but heard him yelp as he was shot by the man from her village. She heard his panting slow and stop before her hallucination ended, the ceremony was complete and she gained new powers. She knew she would be able to camouflage perfectly into the forest, her speed and senses beside sight would increase, and she was especially excited to be able to control nature, to be able to bend and shape trees at her will. But as her hallucination faded and her vision returned to the fog it always was, there was a stabbing pain her in chest, heart break accompanied by starvation and exposure she saw her life leave her body.
Or so she thought.
She has been on Innistrad for four years now, she woke up outside of a small village and a family rescued and practically adopted her. They still have no idea where she came from, and she has a hard time explaining her power to them. All she wants to do is go home and see her family again.
