An influx of mana surged off the slopes of Ashmouth, as a hole was ripped in time and space, and something came through. Like a soul rising from hell, Annabeth took her first breath as she stepped on the hot rock of the demonic mountain.
Her red eyes looked down from the mountain and onto the lands of Innistrad, her home world, the world that had betrayed her.
There was nothing in her eyes but bitterness and anger. She narrowed them as she looked down, judging the whole of the plane. She seemed to ignore the flows of lava coming from the mountain that slipped down next to her.
She had returned. And this was going to be the beginning of the end, for Avacyn, and everything on the plane. She swore to it.

"Alright you simpletons, put me down now" a woman snapped at the two men carrying her. She stepped onto the ground gingerly, looking around at the flowing lava. "Lovely!" she said, clasping her hands together.
Innistrad was such a nice plane. The vampires were so classy and they threw the BEST parties. And the humans were so easy to control.
She placed her hands on her hips and looked for a moment longer before snapping her fingers. The humans lifted her once more and started carrying her off.

To say the least, that wasn't the sight Annabeth was expecting. She glared down at the vampire and her servants-it wasn't an Innistrad vampire, that was for sure. Which meant only one thing... "Another walker," she told herself. Decisions, decisions. Introduce herself to this new planeswalker, or just ignore her? There was always the possibility she could become a threat, but why make enemies when you can make friends? Still, she kept two hellhounds by her side as she descended the slope of Mount Ashmouth. She jumped off the rocky ledge and with the help of some blue magic, landed onto her feet some ten meters away from the vampire, her hellhounds running down the slope before arranging themselves around her sides.

Vera looked at the woman, eyed her dogs, and then clapped. "Impressive." she said, smirking. She snapped her fingers and the humans set her down again. She eyed the hellhounds and continued to smirk.
"Who might you be?" she asked, hands on hips. This person looked very powerful, and appeared to be as much of a show off as she was. She always had room for powerful friends.

"You can call me Deter," she said. Annabeth didn't know how this vampire gained control over it's thralls, possibly through giving away one's full name, maybe through a mix of black and red magic and nothing more, Annabeth wasn't taking chances. Her hellhounds sat down watching the vampire intently.
"I didn't catch your name, Planeswalker," asked Annabeth.

A smirked passed over the vampires lips as she inspected Annabeth. "The pleasure is all mine Deter. You may call me Vera." she said, cocking her head to the side.
"You know what I am? That seems to be common on this plane." she said, walking off to the side. She was careful not to get closer to Annabeth, not wanting to cause the woman to get suspicious.
"I've visited several planes in my time as a walker...This one is one of my favourites. Those pesky angels are a nuisance though, wouldn't you agree?" she asked, brow arched.
