Word was being spread of a plane of gods, exactly the kind of plane Caladia was looking for. If she could spread the influence of the Worldsoul enough for the inhabitants to renounce their own false gods, Trostani would be pleased.
Caladia stood in the gardens near Trostani's temple, and closed her eyes. When she opened them again she saw nothingness, nothingness filled with orbiting spheres, spheres she only recently learned were other planes.
And so it begins.
Caladia focused onto a more natural plane, finding one abundant with forests and less city-life, something that satisfied her curiosities. Caladia closed her eyes, and opened them once again with the sensations of a new plane, landing in a clearing surrounded by trees. She was in Setessa, where women were treated above men. And for that, she was lucky.
While she was getting used to the plane, figures approached her rapidly from between the trees, humans and...women with legs of a goat? Caladia gripped her staff tight as they approached her, raising their various weapons against her.
"State your name." The tallest human spoke. Caladia was too busy panicking to even hear. She could only think.
What have I gotten myself into?

Ciela watched as the obvious Ravnican panicked. The dryad stammered out a response and the satyrs glanced at each other, skeptical.
"She just appeared out of nowhere, how do we know she isn't some kind of spy?" "Or harbinger?"
"This better not be a part of your confounded research project." "She's not, Polonia. Let me just talk to her."
The guard detail stepped back and let the foreigners speak. "Well you're obviously new to this. You Selesnyan?" Ciela asked with a lowered voice.

Caladia nodded, shocked that Selesnya was heard of on other planes. Perhaps her work was already done. "Yes, I am. Where have I landed and how do you know what Selesnya is?"

Ciela turned back to the guards. "She's not a threat, you can go back to your posts. Thanks for protecting my work area, I really appreciate it." The guards skulked off as Ciela turned back to Caladia. "You're on Theros, in a place called Setessa. I'm a 'walker and I like to go to Ravnica a lot, so I've run into a fair number of people from various guilds. How long have you been at this?"

"That was my first...you know." She eased her grip on her staff, beginning to calm down. So they don't know what Selesnya is. "I'm here to spread the influence of the Worldsoul, or see if it can be spread. And who are you?"

"Not too bad for your first 'walk I suppose," Ciela began. "I'm from Zendikar originally; my name is Ciela. I'm an aeromancer with an interest in research and development." She started walking towards a small building with large, metallic parts littered about the patio. "I do a lot of independent R&D on various planes, but I work with the Izzet sometimes on Ravnica so I can get access to their labs and facilities."
Ciela started tinkering with some gear while continuing the conversation. "So what brings you to Theros?"

Caladia took a quick step back when she heard the mention of Izzet. "So you're one of the madwomen then? I'm not too sure I can trust you. If you are allies with them." Caladia was feeling overly edgy. She had landed in an entirely new plane, uncertain of what hostilities could be around the corner. Her hand was around her staff once more, and she remembered her bonds to the groves of Selesnya.

Ciela rolled her eyes. She'd forgotten about the interguild tension; it had been a few months since she'd been back to Ravnica, and she'd been very absorbed in her work.
"Listen, Caladia was it? I don't really care what you think about my working with the Izzet, but I can tell you right now that I have a lot of work to do. I don't need your trust and I don't have time to explain my life choices to you, but let me give you a piece of advice as one planeswalker to another: very rarely do your allegiances on one plane carry over to another. Home is home and everywhere else is, for the most part, irrelevant." Ciela lashed some pieces together and slung them over her shoulder as sort of a makeshift backpack. "I'm not going to be staying here for much longer because frankly the mana distribution here is not to my liking, but have fun proselytizing or whatever."
With that, Ciela spread the wings of her cloak and created a strong updraft. She soared up to a platform in the trees and began disassembling her bundle of parts.

"Wait!" Caladia called up to the trees, putting her hand on one that served as a support to the platform. If all else failed, woodshaping was an option. "You're just going to leave? I need to be shown around at least! Where do I start!" She realized she had begun to depend on the woman, her closest thing to an ally on this plane.

"Hey man, I'm not a tour guide," Ciela yelled down from the treetop. And even if I was that type of person, I've only been here for like a week, so I couldn't help you.
Ciela worked in relative silence, listening to the breeze blowing through the leaves around her and the birds in the nearby branches. She peered over the edge of the platform to see if she was still there. Ciela had been lucky enough to have a mentor for her first walk to another plane, so she hadn't needed to worry about blending in or fret about what planeswalking actually was, but she understood that most did not have it so easy. Still, she didn't want to become someone else's mentor when she had so much work to do for herself and for the sake of her home plane.
Her home plane, Zendikar. A Ravnican guildmage wouldn't understand what it was like to hail from such a wild, untamed, and potentially dying world. Ciela suddenly became even more angry that this stranger accused her of being an "Izzet madwoman".
Her anger affected her concentration; she pinched her finger hard between two mechanical wing joints and she yelled a bitter curse. As she waited for the pain to subside, she decided that if the Selesnyan apologized, maybe she'd be willing to tell her about the basics of planeswalking.
Though, she really just wanted to finish this flap-glider.

On a far-away plane, a small creature was skipping along a rocky trail. It wasn't taller than a child, and its head looked like a mix of a donkey's head and a skull. The creature giggled quietly. Suddenly, the path stopped, and so did the creature. A huge ring constructed from a metal pole framework covered in enormous plates of metal hindered any passage. The creature looked up at the structure with its round glowing eyes. It seemed to debate what to do. It didn't take long before it decided to start climbing. The creature was a natural climber, scaling the ring faster than any human would be able to. For some reason, it didn't just climb through the ring, but kept going up until it was at the top of the ring. As if the ring had noticed the creature's presence, crackling lines of energy became visible inside it. A sphere of unstable energy formed, and the creature giggled unstoppably. And then it jumped. As the creature passed the sphere, it was sucked inside and disappeared, and the sphere faded into nothing only a moment after.
On Theros, at the exact location where Caladia had previously landed, the creature appeared. Between bursts of laughter, it mumbled, "Trail, trail, follow the trail, around the bushes and into the fray." It seemed to take a few seconds before it noticed the presence of the other planeswalkers. "Hello elves," it said when it finally noticed them. "I'm Question Handkerchief, how do you do?"

Caladia jumped at the sight of of the creature, never having seen it before. The mana she spent on preparing her woodshaping immediately went into shaping the trees on the sides of her and the ouphe. Within seconds the trunks extended, creating a web of vines leaving enough space for her to be able to see the creature. She stood at the other end, peering through the holes curiously. She yelled over her shoulder at Ciela. "What is this thing?!"

Ciela peered down and saw the ouphe. She crept back from the edge and stared wide-eyed at her work.
This day just keeps getting worse and worse.
She weighed her options. She didn't like having her time wasted, but lost work would mean double the time wasted. She quickly arranged the pile to look like junk, and glided down a few yards from the Selesnyan and the fairy.
Ciela decided to play it safe and be respectful to the little imp. "He's an ouphe. I'd wager you two both have...an affinity for the forests, am I right Mr. Handkerchief?"

Question made a sudden jump and landed on a treebranch. He looked at the two other planeswalkers with curiousness and amusement.
"You ask Question a question? That's funny." He laughed again. Before any of the others had time to take the word, he continued, "I am stronger in forests, but also near sources of water. Has Question answered your question?" He jumped again, to a branch higher up. "But what are you two elves doing here?"

"I'm...waiting for Ciela to show me around. I'm new here." Caladia cringed when she remembered being called an elf. She was a dryad, not an elf, and having them confused was a common occurrence. "I do have an affinity for the forests, Ciela. Because I am a dryad." She put her hand to the same tree, this time it glowed green. As she did so her skin developed a more olive tint, and from her scalp grew small vines, lacing her dark brown hair with various flora.
