It was a quiet, cloudy day. Zaharah was making her way through a crowd in the local market, on her way to meet someone who could give her something she needed for a new artifact she was working on.
As she walked past a stall she spotted something. It was very small, and very shiny. She walked over and picked up the pendant. It was a bird with tiny sapphire eyes.
A bird. She looked up to the sky and sighed softly. Even though she was a planeswalker she felt trapped where she was. She couldn't abandon the Seekers though. She owed them her life.
She frowned and went to set the pendant back down and then thought twice. Shaking her head, she bought the trinket. It felt so silly but maybe it meant something.

Thaen had chosen to return to Alara. He rarely returned to planes, because he didn't see a reason to go back to somewhere he had already been. The point of travelling was not to enjoy a certain location and wish oneself back to that location. No, if he had wanted that, why did he travel at all. But the return had its reasons.
When he reached the market, he knew that what he was looking for wasn't far away. He grunted. Markets were definitely not among his favourite places in the world.

Zaharah was walking quickly through the streets and not paying attention, so much that she nearly ran into Thaen. She looked up at him and frowned. "Sorry. I'm in a hurry." was all she managed before she continued on her way. She disliked speaking to strangers and the man she had almost run into looked...disturbed. She glanced back at him, almost running into another person as she did so. She let out a sigh of frustration as she kept moving, a growl of frustration passing her lips as she was stopped.
She stood and listened to the person talk at her about this and that, her expression clearly showing her disinterest and annoyance. The other person was oblivious.
